SELECTION & PROCUREMENT GUIDE
Procuring furniture and fittings is a key part of your interior design project. I manage this in two stages: selection and procurement. Each is charged differently and handled with the greatest efficiency to save you time and ensure a seamless result.
This guide applies to all items selected and sourced on your behalf including furniture, artwork, lighting, accessories, appliances, flooring, tiles, window treatments, fixtures and more.
1. Selection
To keep your time commitment minimal, I present only a curated shortlist of options tailored to your brief, budget and style. I manage all sourcing, research and presentations. Selection work is charged at my hourly rate and is paid in advance as per your Design Bundle or Project Proposal. Multiple revisions and changes will add to the cost of your selection process.
2. Procurement
Once selections are approved, I manage the entire procurement process: placing orders, overseeing deliveries, troubleshooting and liaising with suppliers. I charge a 15% + GST procurement fee per item, based on the trade price which is passed on to you. No hourly fees apply beyond the point of placing the order. Because I pass on my trade pricing, you are likely to make significant savings on the Recommended Retail Price (RRP).You'll receive one invoice that includes all trade pricing plus my procurement fee. In some cases, a supplier may invoice you directly; if so, I will issue a separate invoice for the procurement fee. By engaging me to manage procurement, you agree to this fee regardless of how the invoice is paid.
Trade Access
In addition to my wide range of relationships with retail suppliers, I regularly work with high-end, trade-only suppliers offering exclusive pricing (often 5%–40% below RRP or more). These relationships are built overtime and are not available to the general public. In many cases, clients save more than the cost of my fee.
All supplier relationships and pricing arrangements remain confidential.
Timing & Approvals
To avoid stock issues, selections should be approved within two weeks of presentation. Delays may lead to re-selection, which is billed at my hourly rate.
Changes & Returns
If you change your mind post-purchase, I’ll assist wherever possible within the vendor’s return policy. The procurement fee remains non-refundable, and any additional work (such as coordinating exchanges) will be charged at the hourly rate.
Why This Matters
I invest in trusted relationships with suppliers known for quality, reliability and good ethics. This network gives you access to the best options and ensures your project runs smoothly.
